This is how we do it!

If you're imagining me doing my best white-girl-can't-dance moves while singing "this is how we do it...", then you know me too well! (And by the way, that title has absolutely nothing to do with this post. It was stuck in my head, so I thought I'd share. :-D)

I had every intention of sharing a video house tour last week. But since I had some technical difficulties (no comments please!) and my technologically savvy husband was out of town for work, we'll have to wait on that post. In the meantime, I want to share some of my current home project inspiration.

I don't know about you guys, but I feel the need to decorate (at least a little) for every holiday. Justyn thinks I'm strange, but I just think I'm a festive kind of gal! (And I'm pretty sure there's a little ADD child inside of me. And she gets bored with the same decor. So why not use a holiday as an excuse to mix things up?!) So here are a few things I'm loving for Valentine's day:

This burlap wreath is sweet, cheap, and simple; 3 of my favorite things! Check out the tutorial over at My House of L to make your own. (This is on my to-do list!)

And I love this "specimen art" and this framed heart, both from Embelishing Life. (Can you tell I'm into burlap lately?)

So, like I said, just a few things I've seen floating around on the WWW. Anybody else out there have V-Day ideas to share? Am I the only one with decor ADD?

PS-Speaking of Valentine's Day and LOOOOVE... We're pretty much in love with our soon-to-be new addition! That's right; we're getting a PUPPY! Pictures coming soon!

  1. Do you want me to start saving you our burlap peanut bags?

  2. In the Bahamas, they paint burlap and then roll them up to look like flowers and put them on the walls. Then paint the stem and leaves on the wall. Looks great with bright colors.

  4. Love those! I can't wait to see the video tour with the pretty burlap heart door decor! Aunt Jan--I LOVE that idea, sound like you could change them too, if you just changed the flower heads and kept the stems.
I have decor ADD too, just no means to decorate this semester... :(
